I met Danielle and Michael when they came to me for Engagement photos, late last spring. We met at Granville Island, and I was struck immediately by Danielle’s fluid, effortless sense of grace. She absolutely radiates beauty from the inside out. Their engagement session was a breeze of course, and I looked eagerly forward to their intimate Rosewood Hotel Georgia Wedding to take place a few months later.
Their 40 person wedding was absolutely spectacular. Keeping the guest list small, Danielle explained, meant that they could really treat their guests. And treat they did! The food was easily some of the best I’ve ever had at a wedding. The decor would be best described as ‘Lavish Elegance’ and every detail was thought out and executed to the ‘T’. The whole day was stunning.
And most incredible of all, the rain stayed away! It had POURED rain the day before, and the morning of their bid day. Absolutely poured. The sort of rain where you don’t even get a 15 minute reprieve. It seemed almost impossible that we’d get outside for any photos that day, so the day before the wedding, I met them at the hotel so that we could scope out some alternate, indoor photo spots. But miraculously, just an hour or two before the ceremony got underway, the skies cleared and not another droplet of rain fell that day! We managed to get outside for some really fabulous shots after all. A wedding gift from Mother Nature, to an outstanding couple, I’m sure!
There couldn’t be two more deserving people of a life time of happiness than these two. Please join me in wishing them CONGRATULATIONS!
